Mindgift University – Wisdom for well-being
What is it?
Mindgift University comprises tailor-made workshops and bespoke team coaching programmes geared towards improving organisational and individual performance.
Why does your business need it?
According to the 2014 Sickness Absence survey by the EEF, 4.9 days per person per year are lost to sickness in the UK, with stress and mental health related conditions showing the biggest increase in long-term sickness absence, with over half of companies reporting this as an issue. Stress, anxiety and general poor health within the workplace lead not just to sickness absence but to low morale, reduced productivity and the breakdown of communication and relationships. Mindgift University gives you the opportunity to:
- Discover & implement tools and techniques to enable your business and its employees to achieve its full potential.
- Meet your challenges and achieve your goals
- Have a happier, healthier, more effective workforce.
How do we do it?
Taking into account the realities, challenges and goals of your organisation, and using a range of approaches including NLP and nutrition, we develop personal resilience and well-being which, in turn, boosts productivity and business performance.
Our holistic approach to the individual focuses on the following key areas:
- Physical Wellbeing– Exercise/sleep/hydration/nutrition.
- Emotional wellbeing– How to stay focused- forward thinking/living in the now.
- Mental wellbeing– Understanding your mind and using it’s full potential.
- Spiritual Wellbeing– Understanding your map of the world is different to others and how your values work for and against you.
By addressing all areas of emotional, mental, physical and spiritual health, we give your employees the tools to handle life’s challenges and strengthen their personal resources. The result is a happier, healthier, more effective workforce.
Stress impacted on us in different ways: the pressures of Helen’s job as a consultant within the NHS led to her feeling constantly run down, plagued by viruses, colds, skin rashes, suffering with IBS and eventually deteriorating into a state of severe anxiety which manifested in debilitating panic attacks. Paul used food as a way of “coping” with the pressure of a demanding role within the retail sector. His lifestyle of stress, overeating and not exercising resulted in him being 3 stone overweight, completely out of shape and feeling pretty low about himself. All these physical symptoms were our bodies’ way of telling us that we were not responding to pressure in a healthy way.
The Birth of our Health within Business Division
Encountering a lack of organizational support in terms of stress, anxiety and general poor health within the workplace, we found our own ways to heal ourselves and overcome the adversities we faced. Having learned the “hard way”, we developed our Health within Business Division out of the tools and techniques we used to overcome our personal issues and achieve success. Now, through the Mindgift University, you can learn how to support your teams to:
- Overcome weight concerns
- Take more care of their health
- Achieve higher energy and fitness levels
- Be more engaged and productive at work
- Become more resilient
- Improve communication
- Increase focus
“The session was both informative and entertaining; pitched to keep attendees interested throughout; they were excellent at presenting and I feel it would be impossible to go away from the session not having learnt anything or without at least a few new lifelong useful tips for both work and personal situations” Jackie NHS Manager
“thank you so much for yesterday’s session; it was very interesting, all the group enjoyed it and the way you presented was exactly right (humorous, whilst getting the point across). It was fantastic and it really made me think! Everything you said was true, there were light bulbs going of in my head constantly!” Catherine Business Breakfast member
Our aim is to produce solid, sustainable results, giving individuals the tools to handle life’s challenges and giving businesses the tools for future growth and success.
